As I’m a lousy, lazy reader I’ve ordered my friend to do it for me. You will notice that he’s really into it and curious about the Cape of Good Hope. You see his ancestors had a recession when Jan van Riebeeck claimed South Africa as a refreshment post in 1652. In the Mediterranean Sea they were out of a job. Sailors started taking the long route to the east. So I can understand his curiosity for this particular history.
